Textiles East Fair

It has been along time since I last used this blog page.  So many other things to update and so little time.  This last year I have been planning, organising and holding a new event in Cambridgeshire called the Textiles East Fair and now I am doing it again this year.  All the details can be found on the new website textileseastfair.wordpress.com

Christmas Event

This Thursday- 4th Dec , the whole Cranbrook site will be open late for all our valued customers to have a preview of Christmas Tree and wreaths in the Nursey. I too will be open with a new stock of sewing kits, as well as hand-made gifts by local artisans  (open hours for this day only 10am-6.30pm).
Why not pop along and enjoy a beveage in the recently refurbished tearoom and enjoy the sounds of carols being sung by the Pidley Male Voice Choir (from 4pm).
HAPPY CRAFTING AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

NORRIS MUSEUM COMMUNITY SEWING PROJECT- Exhibition to Commemorate WW1

I am getting involved with this years exhibition at the Norris Museum,  this year they are working with the local school and community to create an exhibition to commemorate WW1.

Interested then why not help to create textile items such as reproduction embroidered postcards and pincushions. The small item will then be added to their exhibition.

Materials and inspiration provided here at The Cabin, just bring along a needle and some embroidery threads.
